This Peruvian banknote was issued in 1956 by the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú. With a face value of five soles de oro, it belongs to the J21 series.
The front of the banknote is characterized by a dominant green color on a plain light blue background. Its central motif represents Liberty seated, holding a shield and a staff. The banknote's serial numbers are positioned at the top left and right. The inscriptions in Spanish indicate that the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú will pay the bearer five soles de oro, in accordance with Law Nº 10535. The date of issue, 22 de Marzo de 156, is also mentioned.
The back of the banknote features a green print. The national coat of arms of Peru is located in the center. The denomination "CINCO SOLES DE ORO" and the name of the issuing institution, "BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERU", are also found there.
