This banknote, with a face value of 1 pound, was issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1965. It belongs to the B/61 series.
On the obverse, the banknote features a dominant color scheme of red and dark brown. There is an architectural representation of a bank building located on the left of the composition. The following inscriptions are present: "FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA", "CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA", as well as the promise to pay "promise to pay on demand the sum of ONE POUND".
The reverse of the banknote depicts an agricultural worker. Specifically, a man is shown beating the bunch of a date palm tree, positioned on the right of the banknote.
