The front of the banknote features a multicoloured print, predominantly in blue. The central element is a representation of a spotted eagle ray. A yellow cowrie shell is positioned on the left of the note. The name of the issuing institution is printed in the lower right. The face value is indicated in numerals in the upper right and lower left, and in letters in the upper left. Two brown signatures appear in the lower left.
The back of the banknote, also printed in multicolour on a blue background, adopts a vertical layout, with some horizontal inscriptions. The central image depicts a pelican in flight with Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten, in the background. The name of the issuer is located at the top right, while the face value is indicated in numerals in the upper left and lower right, and in letters below the image. The serial number, consisting of nine digits preceded by a letter, is printed in black in the upper left and lower right. The date of issue is printed in the upper right.
The dimensions of the banknote are 147 mm in length and 66 mm in width. The inscriptions on the banknote are written in Latin.
