Coin Monaco

The Monaco Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) coin set, issued in 2013, includes all the country's euro divisionary coins. This set contains the eight regular coins, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. A 2 euro commemorative coin, issued in 2013 and dedicated to the United Nations (UN), is also included in this set.

The euro coins of Monaco feature distinct designs for each series of values. The 1, 2, and 5 cent coins bear the coat of arms of the principality. The monogram of His Serene Highness (HSH) Prince Albert II of Monaco is depicted on the 10, 20, and 50 cent coins. Finally, the 1 and 2 euro coins display the effigy of HSH Prince Albert II.

The mintage of this BU set is limited to 10,000 copies.

The Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality refers to coins struck with new tooling, giving them a superior quality. These coins have a more intense shine than regular circulation coins and have never been put into circulation. The term BU therefore attests to the state of preservation and the quality of striking of these coins.
