This 5-euro gold coin is issued by France in 2025 as part of the series commemorating the 75th anniversary of Snoopy. Struck in Belle Épreuve (BE) quality, it features a limited mintage of 2,500 copies. Made from 999 fine gold, it weighs 0.5 grams with a diameter of 11 millimetres.

Snoopy, the famous beagle from the Peanuts universe created by Charles M. Schulz, is the central character of this issue. Charlie Brown's companion, this dog with a unique personality is known for his fertile imagination, which leads him to embody in turn a World War I pilot, a renowned author, or Joe Cool, the iconic campus figure. It is in 2025 that we celebrate the 75th anniversary of this character who has become an essential part of world popular culture.

On the obverse, Snoopy appears in an iconic pose, tenderly clutching a heart against him, on which the number 75 is engraved, a direct reference to the anniversary being celebrated. The polished background of the coin features a design composed of a hopping Woodstock, aeroplanes and suitcases, elements evocative of the travel theme.

The reverse of the coin features an engraved background adorned with dog paw prints. Snoopy is depicted resting on the face value, gazing towards his friend Woodstock, perched on the inscription RF, standing for République Française (French Republic). The name Peanuts as well as the anniversary commemorative inscription also appear on this side.
