Bi-metallic (centre: nickel silver - ring: cupronickel) - UNC (uncirculated) - 8 50 g - Ø 25 75 mm - minted in 100,000 copies.

On the obverse: A portrait of Lucien 1st Grimaldi in profile facing left. The inscription "1512 SOUVERAINETÉ DE MONACO 2012" appears above the portrait in an arc along the upper edge of the inner part of the coin. Under the name "LUCIEN 1er" the cornucopia of the Monnaie de Paris mint mark.
On the reverse: A map of the European continent is depicted on a dynamic canvas made up of the twelve stars of the European Union.
