This Malawi banknote, with a face value of 50 kwacha, was issued in 2020 and is part of the CA series. It measures 128 mm long and 64 mm wide.
The front of the banknote features a color palette dominated by blue, orange, and green, printed on a complex multicolored background. On the left, a scene depicts fishermen sailing in a boat. In the center, a representation of the Reserve Bank building is visible. On the right, a portrait of Inkosi Ya Mokhosi Philip Gomani II is highlighted. The inscriptions include the name of the issuing institution, "Reserve Bank of Malawi", followed by the face value, "50 Kwacha". The name of the honored personality, "INKHOSI YA MAKHOSI PHILIP GOMANI II", is also present, as well as the face value repeated in words, "Fifty Kwacha".
The back of the banknote features elephants evolving in their natural habitat, with a tree and a safari vehicle present in Kasungu National Park. The integrated watermark represents Inkosi Ya Makhosi Philip Gomani II, accompanied by the face value of the banknote.
