The 200 Malawi kwacha banknote, issued in 2022, series BV, has several distinctive features.
On the front, there is a representation of the Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters building located in Lilongwe. The portrait of Rose Lomathinda Chibambo, a prominent figure in Malawi, is also highlighted. The inscriptions include the promise to pay the bearer the sum of 200 kwacha, the name of the Reserve Bank of Malawi, and mention of the issue under the Malawi Banking Act. The face value "200 KWACHA" is clearly indicated, accompanied by the name of Rose Lomathinda Chibambo.
On the back, the new Parliament building in Lilongwe is depicted. The inscription "TWO HUNDRED KWACHA" is present, as well as the face value "200 KWACHA" and the designation of the building: "NEW PARLIAMENT BUILDING, LILONGWE". The name of the Reserve Bank of Malawi also appears.
The watermark integrated into the banknote represents a portrait of Rose Lomathinda Chibambo, accompanied by the electrotype denomination "200". The dimensions of the banknote are 132 mm in length and 66 mm in width.
The texts on the banknote are written in the Latin alphabet.
