The 200 Malawian kwacha banknote, issued in 2021, has distinctive features on both sides.
On the obverse, the note highlights the Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters building located in Lilongwe. It also features a portrait of Rose Lomathinda Chibambo, an important figure in the country. The inscriptions are written in the Latin alphabet. One can read the promise to pay the bearer the sum of 200 kwacha, as well as the mention of the Reserve Bank of Malawi, which issued the note under the Banking Act of Malawi. The face value, 200 kwacha, is clearly indicated, along with the name of Rose Lomathinda Chibambo.
On the reverse, the note depicts the new Parliament building in Lilongwe, highlighting the importance of the governmental institution. The dimensions of the note are 132 mm in length and 66 mm in width. The series of this note is BP.
