Lesotho issued a 10 maloti banknote in 2021, part of the BG series. This banknote features distinct visual characteristics on both sides.
On the obverse, the banknote highlights portraits of three important royal figures: Moshoeshoe II, Letsie III, and Moshoeshoe I. These portraits are accompanied by the coat of arms of Lesotho. The inscriptions on this side include the mention of the Central Bank of Lesotho, the declaration that the banknote is legal tender for ten maloti, and the face value expressed in maloti, repeated twice in the form "10 10". All inscriptions are written in Latin characters.
The reverse of the banknote features a floral motif composed of cosmos flowers. The watermark depicts King Moshoeshoe I wearing a top hat. There is also an electrotype representing the value "10" accompanied by a Basotho hat, as well as decorative cornerstones.
The dimensions of the banknote are 132 mm in length and 70 mm in width.
