Description

The 1 tyiyn banknote from Kyrgyzstan, issued in 1993, measures 90 × 70 mm. The front of the banknote features an eagle, the central element of the composition. The inscriptions in Cyrillic read "?????? ????????????" (KYRGYZ REPUBLIC) and "??? ?????" (ONE TYIYN), specifying the face value and issuing authority.

The back of the banknote depicts a national ornament, with the Tündük symbol placed in the center. As on the front, the Cyrillic inscriptions "?????? ????????????" and "??? ?????" are found. The Tündük, an element of the traditional yurt, symbolizes the home and family structure in Kyrgyz culture.

The banknote's watermark depicts golden eagles, adding a dimension of security and authenticity to the document. The eagle, present both on the front and in the watermark, is an important symbol for Kyrgyzstan, often associated with freedom, strength and independence.

This 1 tyiyn banknote, issued shortly after Kyrgyzstan's independence, demonstrates the country's desire to define its monetary and cultural identity. The ornamental motifs and national symbols reflect Kyrgyzstan's heritage and traditions, while the Cyrillic inscriptions underscore the influence of the Russian language in the region.
