Description

This 200 Hungarian Forint banknote commemorates Károly Róbert and Diósgy?r Castle. Issued in 1998, it belongs to the FA series.

The front of the banknote highlights the portrait of Károly Róbert, King of Hungary from 1308 to 1342. The portrait is finely detailed, reflecting the royal iconography associated with this monarch. Ornamental graphic elements complement the portrait, incorporating traditional Hungarian motifs. The face value of 200 Forints is clearly indicated.

The back of the banknote depicts Diósgy?r Castle, a significant medieval fortress in Hungary. The architectural representation of the castle is accurate, showing its towers, walls, and overall layout. The surrounding landscape is also sketched, providing a visual context. The name of the country, Magyar Nemzeti Bank, is inscribed, as well as the face value.

This banknote was made from standard security paper. It incorporates security features to prevent counterfeiting. These security features include a watermark, visible by transparency, and special inks that react under certain light conditions. The graphic design of the banknote includes micro-prints, complex patterns that are difficult to reproduce by common counterfeiting methods.

The dimension of the banknote is 154 × 70 mm.
