This 10-euro silver coin is part of the Europa series, dedicated to France through its Romantic and Modern era. Issued by the Monnaie de Paris in 2018, it bears the vintage year 2017 and displays the mint mark A, characteristic of productions from the Parisian mint.

The coin is struck in silver with a fineness of 900?, corresponding to a high-quality alloy composed of 90% silver. It has a weight of 22.2 grams and a diameter of 37 millimetres, dimensions that give it a strong and distinctive presence. It is produced in Belle Épreuve (BE) quality, a finish exclusive to the Monnaie de Paris, distinguished by its refined appearance, sharp reliefs and precisely worked surfaces.

The mintage is limited to 20,000 pieces, making it a restricted-issue coin. The Europa series, of which this coin is a part, is rooted in a tradition of collaboration between several eurozone member countries, each issuing coins representing national cultural and historical themes. In the case of this French issue, the chosen theme is the Romantic and Modern era, a pivotal period in France's cultural and artistic history, covering in particular the 19th century with its literary, pictorial and musical upheavals.

The face value of 10 euros is inscribed on the coin, giving it legal tender status in France. All the technical and aesthetic characteristics of this issue reflect the traditional craftsmanship of the Monnaie de Paris, one of the oldest monetary institutions in the world, whose BE-quality productions are particularly acclaimed by collectors.
