Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to World History through famous women who have an influence in several fields. 2022 begins the series and honours Grace Kelly. 

The face depicts a portrait of Grace Kelly staring into the camera with a smile. The background depicts the roses for which Grace Kelly was so passionate. Grace Kelly's name and the dates "1929 - 1982" form a circle around her portrait. This coin features free minting, which gives the coins an antique look and makes them "perfectly imperfect" and therefore unique.

The reverse features several elements that echo her life as an actress: film reels, cinema clappers and an emblematic phrase that Grace Kelly uttered, reflecting her avant-gardism: "Women can do anything they decide to do". The word "RF" appears at the bottom of the design, while the face value and the year can be seen at the top right of the design.
