The 100 Piastres banknote from French Indochina, dated 1947, is a specimen issued by the Bank of Indochina. It measures 175 mm in length and 87 mm in width.
The front of the banknote features a bust of Mercury on the left. The inscriptions "BANQUE DE L'INDOCHINE" and "100 PIASTRES" also appear on this side. The names of SÉB. LAURENT FEC. and E. GASPÉ SC. indicate the artists involved in its design, respectively the designer Sébastien Laurent and the engraver Eugène Gaspérini.
The back of the banknote depicts two elephants on the left and a bust of a young man on the right. The inscription "M?T TR?M B?C" also appears, along with the value "100". As on the front, the names of SÉB. LAURENT FEC. and E. GASPÉ SC. are present, attributing the design to Sébastien Laurent and the engraving to Eugène Gaspérini.
