Coin France 100 Francs Silver Winston Churchill - 1994 - without boxe and without certificate

This French commemorative 100 Francs silver coin was issued in 1994 to mark the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the liberation of France, honoring the figure of Winston Churchill. The coin is missing its original packaging and certificate of authenticity.

Struck by the Paris Mint, this coin is made of 900? silver and weighs 22.2 grams. Its diameter is 37 millimeters and its thickness is 2.2 millimeters. The mintage of this edition is limited to 10,999 copies.

The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Winston Churchill. It also includes the inscriptions "RF" (French Republic), the face value "100 FRANCS", and the year of issue "1994". The name "WINSTON CHURCHILL" is also present on this side. The engraver of this side is Bernard Turlan.

The reverse of the coin reproduces an excerpt from Winston Churchill's speech to the House of Commons. The quote is engraved in English and French: "I HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER BUT BLOOD, TOIL, TEARS AND SWEAT" and "JE N?AI RIEN À OFFRIR QUE DU SANG, DE LA PEINE, DES LARMES, DE LA SUEUR." Bernard Turlan is also the engraver of this side.
