The reverse of the coin depicts a standing rooster, facing left, perched above an olive branch. The face value, "10 FRANCS", is inscribed in numbers and letters. The date of issue, "1954", is placed below, with the mint mark "B" indicating Beaumont-Le Roger. The republican motto "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE" is inscribed in capital letters around the periphery.
