The 10 Francs Guiraud coin, dated 1954 and minted in Beaumont-Le Roger, is a French coin with a face value of 10 francs. It is made of a bronze and aluminum alloy. It weighs 3 grams and its diameter measures 20 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin features a head of Marianne turned to the left. Marianne wears the Phrygian cap, a symbol of the French Revolution, adorned with an olive branch and a cockade. The engraver's signature, G. GUIRAUD, is visible under the portrait. The inscription "REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" is written in capital letters around the main motif.
The reverse of the coin depicts a standing rooster, facing left, perched above an olive branch. The face value, "10 FRANCS", is inscribed in numbers and letters. The date of issue, "1954", is placed below, with the mint mark "B" indicating Beaumont-Le Roger. The republican motto "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE" is inscribed in capital letters around the periphery.
The edge of the coin is smooth. The engraver responsible for the design of this coin is Georges Guiraud.
