This banknote is a 10 shillings issued by the government of Fiji in 1962, belonging to the C5 series. It measures 156 mm long and 72 mm wide.
The front of the banknote features a dominant brown color on a complex background that blends shades of green, pink, and yellow. The central element is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The country's coat of arms is positioned at the top, in the center of the banknote. There are also inscriptions in Latin indicating: 'GOVERNMENT OF FIJI', 'THIS NOTES ARE LEGAL TENDER FOR THE PAYMENT OF ANY AMOUNT', 'TEN SHILLINGS' and 'For the GOVERNMENT OF FIJI', followed by the date '1st. The back of the banknote is printed in brown and features a specific central motif. The watermark represents the bust of a young Fijian.
