This banknote is a specimen of 10 North Korean won, issued in 2009 although dated 2002. This issue coincides with the monetary reform of that year in North Korea. The banknote measures 145 mm in length and 65 mm in width.
The obverse of the banknote features a group of three military figures: a pilot, a sailor, and a soldier, all facing left. The legend is written in Hangeul script, indicating "Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Central Bank" and the face value of "10 ten won". The specimen serial number is 0000000.
The reverse of the banknote depicts the Victory Monument, an important commemorative building in North Korea. It also features the inscription "Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Central Bank".
The banknote's watermark features a Siebold-Magnolia, a distinctive floral motif integrated for security and identification purposes.
