The 1000 Chilean peso banknote issued in 2025 is made of polymer. It commemorates Ignacio Carrera Pinto and features Torres del Paine National Park.
On the obverse, the portrait of Ignacio Carrera Pinto is positioned at the center of the banknote. The name of the issuing institution is printed at the bottom of this side. The face value of 1000 is indicated in numerals in the upper left and lower right corners. It is also written in letters in the upper right corner. A transparent window is located on the right, incorporating a watermark portrait. The official signatures are at the bottom left. A tactile feature is present in the lower left corner, designed for the visually impaired.
The reverse of the banknote features an image of Torres del Paine National Park, occupying the center of the surface. The name of the issuer is printed at the bottom left. The face value in numerals appears in the upper left and lower right. The serial numbers are printed in black, with a two-letter prefix, at the upper left (horizontally) and right (vertically). The copyright mark and year of issue are located at the bottom right.
The transparent window on the reverse integrates a portrait of Ignacio Carrera Pinto. A double line is visible to the left, as well as at the top and bottom of the portrait in the window. The number "1000" is repeated seven times in various positions, to the left and at the bottom of this same window.
The banknote measures 120 mm in length and 70 mm in width.
