The 20 Bangladeshi Taka banknote, issued in 2025, is a specimen from the current series in circulation. It measures 127 mm in length and 60 mm in width.
The obverse of the banknote features an image of the Kantjiu Temple, located in Dinajpur, positioned on the left side. The guarantee clause and the face value "twenty taka" are printed in the center of the banknote. A Shapla flower motif, the national flower of Bangladesh, adorns the central background. The face value "20" is repeated in the upper left, upper right, and lower right corners.
The reverse of the banknote features an image of the Paharpur Buddhist Monastery, located in Naogaon, to the right of the watermark area. The face value "20" is printed in the upper left corner, while the monogram of the Bangladesh Bank appears in the upper right corner. The face value "20" is also present in the lower right corner. Additionally, the face value "20" is printed vertically on the right side of the banknote.
The banknote's watermark depicts a head of the Royal Bengal Tiger, accompanied by the electrotype "20" and the monogram of the Bangladesh Bank. A historical figure associated with this banknote is Mujibur Rahman, the founder of Bangladesh.
