Zenobia challenged the Roman Empire's authority, declaring herself ruler of an independent Palmyrene Empire. Her military campaigns extended her influence across Egypt and parts of Asia Minor. However, her empire eventually fell to the Romans, and she was captured in 272 AD. Zenobia's defiance and leadership have left a lasting historical legacy.
