Queen Zenobia, also known as Septimia Zenobia, was a powerful queen of the Palmyrene Empire in the 3rd century. She ruled from Palmyra, an ancient city in present-day Syria, and expanded her realm through military conquests. Zenobia challenged the Roman Empire's authority, declaring herself ruler of an independent Palmyrene Empire. Her military campaigns extended her influence across Egypt and parts of Asia Minor. However, her empire eventually fell to the Romans, and she was captured in 272 AD. Zenobia's defiance and leadership have left a lasting historical legacy.
