The 200 Zambian kwacha banknote, issued in 2024, features a dominant mauve and blue color scheme on its front. The inscriptions are written in English. It includes the Bank of Zambia logo, as well as a floral pattern serving as a registration device. A scene depicting a tractor plowing a field is also present, as is a fish eagle in flight and a map of Zambia made with OVI (Optical Variable Ink). The coat of arms of Zambia is also featured.
The banknote has a windowed security thread, on which the Bank of Zambia logo and the face value "20" are demetallized. The main inscription indicates the Bank of Zambia's commitment to pay the bearer, on demand, the sum of twenty kwacha.
On the back of the banknote, also in English, there is a water buffalo and a candelabra tree. Two standing antelopes are depicted, as well as the Chishimba Falls and a floral pattern serving as a registration device. The inscription "BANK of ZAMBIA" is repeated, accompanied by the motto "ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION".
The watermark represents a fish eagle and the value "20" in electrotype, accompanied by an additional fish eagle. The banknote, measuring 124 × 69 mm, was printed by Giesecke+Devrient, a company based in Leipzig, Germany. The series to which this banknote belongs is the AB series.
