The 50 Zaire banknote issued in 1980 by the Bank of Zaire is a testament to the country's monetary history. This banknote belongs to the E-A series.
On the obverse, a portrait of Mobutu can be seen positioned on the left. In the lower right, a leopard is depicted, facing to the right. The inscriptions, written in Latin script, include the mention "banque du zaïre" as well as the face value of the banknote, "cinquante zaïres".
