This banknote is a 1000 Dinara from Yugoslavia, issued in 1981. It belongs to an unspecified series and features an intricate design on both sides.
The front of the note is primarily printed in black on a background with shades of grey and pale orange. The serial number is printed in red. The central visual element is a female figure, depicted with an abundance of fruits and vegetables. To the right of this figure are the inscriptions of the issuing bank and the face value of the note, repeated in Serbo-Croatian (in Latin and Cyrillic scripts), Macedonian, and Slovenian. The background features an agricultural scene with a tractor plowing a field, hills on the left, and the coat of arms of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia behind the bank inscriptions. The inscriptions are in Cyrillic and "NARODNA BANKA JUGOSLAVIJE" in Latin, as well as the denominations "DINARJEV" and "DINARA" in different languages. The front also bears the signature of A. Milenkovi? and mentions the issuing institution: "ZAVOD ZA IZRADU NOV?ANICA U SASTAVU NARODNE BANKE JUGOSLAVIJE".
The back of the note is printed in black on a background with pale orange and blue underprints. The face value is indicated in Serbo-Croatian, in Latin and Cyrillic scripts, Macedonian, and Slovenian. Dotted patterns adorn the entire document. It also features the mention "SOCIJALISTI?KA FEDERATIVNA REPUBLIKA JUGOSLAVIJA" in Serbo-Croatian, Slovenian, and Macedonian. A list of the various socialist federal republics constituting Yugoslavia is also present. A warning against counterfeiting is printed in several languages:. The signatures of M. Petrovi? and D. Andri? are also present.
The dimensions of this banknote are 162 × 77 mm. Andrija Milenkovi? and Miodrag Petrovi? contributed to the design, while Dragi?a Andri? created the engraving.
