Description

The 500 Dong banknote, issued in 1972 by South Vietnam, features distinct characteristics on both sides.

On the obverse, the Independence Palace is depicted. The face value of the banknote, 500 Dong, is inscribed below the main illustration.

The reverse of the banknote features a tiger. The animal is depicted alone.

The dimensions of the banknote are 152 millimeters in length and 76 millimeters in width.

The watermark integrated into the banknote paper represents the portrait of Madame Nguyen Van Thieu, wife of the last president of South Vietnam. This image is visible by transparency when the banknote is exposed to a light source.

This banknote belongs to the N.4 series.
