Description

The 1 Dong banknote, issued in 1956 by South Vietnam, features a print in emerald green and dark pink, enhanced by a black serial number. On the obverse, the Temple of King Hùng is depicted on the right, while a watermark is visible on the left. A signature is affixed to the center of the banknote. Ornamental guilloche patterns and rosettes indicating the denomination complete the design. The serial number is positioned at the bottom, divided into two distinct parts.

On the reverse, the banknote also features a print in emerald green and dark pink. The entrance to the Museum of Vietnamese History is illustrated on the left, with a watermark positioned on the right. Ornamental guilloche patterns and denomination rosettes are present, similar to the obverse.

This banknote belongs to the K.6 series and measures 123 × 78 mm. The obverse highlights the Temple of King Hùng, a significant historical and cultural site in Vietnam. The reverse, on the other hand, presents the entrance to the Museum of Vietnamese History, emphasizing the importance of preserving and presenting the national heritage. The guilloche patterns and denomination rosettes add an aesthetic dimension while contributing to the banknote's security.

The combination of emerald green and dark pink gives the banknote a distinctive appearance. The black serial number allows for the unique identification of each banknote. The presence of signatures and watermarks reinforces the authenticity of the banknote and complicates its counterfeiting.
