Inscriptions appear in Lao, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese, reflecting the linguistic diversity of the region at that time. Official mentions include "VI?T-NAM DÂN-CH? C?NG-HOÀ", "GI?Y B?C VI?T-NAM", "HAI M??I ??NG" as well as their equivalents in Chinese characters "??????" and "???". The reverse, also printed in dark red and gold, shows a water buffalo surrounded by figures representing various professions at the center, symbolizing cooperation and collective work. On the left is a warning message against counterfeiting, while on the right the face value is written in Khmer. The serial number, printed in black, is divided into two parts consisting of two letters and three digits on each side. The entire banknote is framed with intricate ornamental motifs, typical of the period.
