Guglielmo Marconi is an Italian physicist, inventor and businessman. He is considered one of the inventors of radio and wireless telegraphy.

 With Ferdinand Braun, he was a joint recipient of the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics "in recognition of his contributions to the development of wireless telegraphy." He is the founder of the first international broadcasting company.
