Issued in 2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, this 1/4 Dollar coin is part of the exceptional American Semiquincentennial programme 1776-2026. This example was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and bears the P mint mark.

The obverse features the portrait of George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War and future first President of the United States. It is accompanied by the inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the dual date "1776-2026".

The reverse pays tribute to the American Revolutionary War. It depicts a Continental Army soldier, with a encampment evoking Valley Forge in the background, where George Washington's army spent the famous winter of 1777-1778. The inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "LIBERTY", "25¢" and "REVOLUTIONARY WAR".
