The coin is made of manganese-brass clad copper. It weighs 8.1 grams and has a diameter of 26.49 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin features a profile representation of the Statue of Liberty. It also features the inscriptions "$1", "IN GOD WE TRUST", as well as the initials "PH" and "JK", corresponding to the engravers.
The reverse of the coin depicts an American astronaut performing a spacewalk outside the International Space Station. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "TEXAS" are also present, as well as the initials "RS" of the engraver Ronald D. Sanders.
The edge of the coin is plain and features the year of issue "2025", the mint mark "P", the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and inlaid stars.
