The obverse of the coin features an uncrowned portrait of King Charles III, facing left. Around this portrait is the legend "CHARLES III·D·G·REX·F·D·5 POUNDS·", as well as the initials "MJ" of the designer Martin Jennings. The full legend translates to "Charles III Dei Gratia Rex Fidei Defensor".

The reverse of the coin features a bull holding a shield adorned with a double Tudor rose. The legend "BULL OF CLARENCE·2 OZ· FINE SILVER·999.9" is inscribed at the top, while the date "2023" appears at the bottom. The initials "DL" of the designer David Lawrence are also present. The coin is made of fine silver with a fineness of 999.9.
