Description

The 2024 UK The Lion and The Eagle 1oz Silver Coin features two national icons, the British Lion and the American Eagle, harmoniously brought together on a new UK coin.

Representing the shared values of the UK and the USA, the design on the reverse of this coin was created in collaboration with John M. Mercanti, Chief Engraver at the US Mint from 2006 to 2010, and features the mighty lion and eagle within a circular frame. The coin's weight and fineness are detailed in the outer ring of the design.

The obverse of the coin bears the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III designed by sculptor Martin Jennings, along with the coin's monetary denomination.
