Description

This commemorative banknote, with a face value of 100 baht, was issued in Thailand in 2025 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Ministry of Finance. The banknote belongs to series A and measures 150 mm long and 72 mm wide.

The obverse of the banknote is primarily printed in red, with multicolored underprints. The serial numbers are in red and the signatures in black. It features a bust of King Vajiralongkorn, wearing the uniform of Commander of the Royal Thai Air Force, turned slightly to the left. In the center are the crowned monograms "WorPorRor", emitting rays on a guilloché background. The face value is indicated in Thai numerals in the lower left corner and in Arabic numerals in the lower right corner. Constellations are visible in the upper right of the king's head. The number "100" is printed in shimmering gold and in relief in the center of a five-petal flower, to the right of the king's head. Repetitive microtexts "100" are present in the shadow to the left of the king's neck, as well as along the guilloches surrounding the monogram. A latent number "100" is visible to the left of the king's shoulder, from bottom to top. A vertical metallic security thread, changing color from pink to green depending on the viewing angle, with the repetition "100 BAHT 100 BAHT", is located on the left. Ten inclined tactile bars are arranged in the center-left and center-right, as well as tactile eight-pedal flowers arranged as ?, "H" in Braille, abbreviation of "hundred".

The reverse of the banknote is also printed in red, with multicolored underprints. It features half-length figures of Kings Rama V and Rama VI, both facing forward but looking towards the center. A scene of Rama V's royal trip to Notodden, Norway, in a car driven by Sam Eyde, is depicted in the lower left of Rama V. King Rama VI on horseback, at the founding of the Thai Scouts, is visible in the lower right of King Rama VI. The Trishula trident in Chakra on a guilloché background is located in the upper right of King Rama VI. The face value is indicated in Arabic numerals on a guilloché background in the upper left and in Thai numerals in the lower left corner. EURion constellations are present in the lower left, upper right and lower right corners. Repetitive microtexts "100" are hidden in the background.
