Description

This banknote, with a face value of 100 Rupees, is issued by Sri Lanka. Dating from 2021, it belongs to the "Development and Prosperity of Sri Lankan Dancers" series.

The front of the note features a representation of the Norochcholai coal power plant.

The back, oriented vertically, depicts a Mridangam drummer in a seated position, playing his instrument. To his right, a Bharatanatyam dancer can be observed. A Naga guard stone motif, featuring a seven-headed cobra, is positioned in the upper right. A double floral motif, known as "Dvithva Liya Vela", is also present on the back.

The banknote's watermark features a Sri Lanka Bush Warbler (Argya rufescens) as well as the electrotype "100". Cornerstone watermarks are also integrated into the design.

The printer responsible for the production of this banknote is De La Rue.
