The 2013 euro series from Slovenia includes all eight common coin denominations, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. All the coins were minted by the Banka Slovenije.
The 1, 2, and 5 cent coins are made of copper-plated steel and feature a stork on their national side. The 1 cent coin has a diameter of 16.25 mm and a weight of 2.30 g, while the 2 cent coin measures 18.75 mm in diameter and weighs 3.06 g. The 5 cent coin, on the other hand, has a diameter of 21.25 mm and weighs 3.92 g. All three have a smooth edge.
The 10, 20, and 50 cent coins are made of Nordic gold alloy. The 10 cent coin, with a diameter of 19.75 mm and a weight of 4.10 g, features the portrait of Slovenian architect Jo?e Ple?nik and its edge is milled. The 20 cent coin, with a diameter of 22.25 mm and a weight of 5.74 g, depicts Lipizzaner horses and has a smooth edge with grooves. The 50 cent coin, the largest of this group, has a diameter of 24.25 mm, a weight of 7.80 g and represents Mount Triglav; its edge is milled.
The 1 and 2 euro coins are bimetallic. The 1 euro coin, with a diameter of 23.25 mm and a weight of 7.50 g, highlights Primo? Trubar and its edge is milled. The 2 euro coin, which has a diameter of 25.75 mm and a weight of 8.50 g, displays the portrait of France Pre?eren. The edge of the latter is marked with an inscription with stars (??).
All the coins in this series are in circulated condition.
