The Slovenia 2011 Euro series is a set of coins issued by Slovenia in 2011. This series includes the eight different euro denominations, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. Each coin features designs specific to the country, while respecting the common specifications of the euro.
The set includes the following coins: 1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro and 2 euros. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins are made of copper-plated steel. They feature a stork, a traditional Slovenian motif. The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins are made of brass alloy, called "Nordic gold". The 10 cent coin depicts a drawing of the Slovenian Parliament, while the 20 cent coin shows two Lipizzan horses. The 50 cent coin features Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia.
The 1 euro and 2 euro coins are bimetallic. The 1 euro coin displays the portrait of Primo? Trubar, a 16th-century Slovenian Protestant writer, considered a key figure in the country's cultural history. The 2 euro coin features the portrait of the poet France Pre?eren and a stanza from his poem "Zdravljica", which is also the Slovenian national anthem.
All coins in this series are dated 2011. They are presented in their original condition, i.e. uncirculated (UNC). This means that they have never been put into circulation and retain their original brilliance. The issuing institution for these coins is the Bank of Slovenia. The specific dimensions such as the weight and diameter of each coin vary according to their face value.
