The front of the banknote features a multicolor print with a multicolor underprint. The serial number is printed in black. The design includes a reproduction of the painting "Russian Squadron on the Roads of Sevastopol" by Ivan K. Aivazovsky, as well as a representation of the "Monument to the Sunken Ships" located in Sevastopol Bay, a work by Amandus Adamson. There is also a map of the city of Sevastopol, the "Memorial to the Heroic Defense of Sevastopol in 1941-1942" located in Nakhimov Square, created by I. Fialko and V. Yakovlev, and an image of St. Vladimir's Cathedral.
A security thread is integrated horizontally at the bottom of the banknote, displaying the value "100".
The back of the banknote features a print in brown, green and red, with a multicolor underprint. The motifs include the "Sail" cliff and Mount Au-Dag. A representation of Swallow's Nest castle, perched on the Aurora cliff overlooking Cape Ai-Todor near Yalta, is also present. Also featured is the Great Khan Mosque, located in the Khan's Palace in Bakhchisaray, an important building of the palace complex and one of the largest mosques in Crimea. Finally, the RT-70 radio telescope located near the city of Yevpatoria is also depicted.
This 100 Ruble banknote is part of a commemorative series issued to mark the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
