Très légères tâches d'encre noir au dos.
This banknote is issued by Romania and has a face value of 50 lei. It belongs to the E series and was put into circulation in 2005.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Aurel Vlaicu, an aircraft constructor who lived from 1882 to 1913. There is also an edelweiss flower (Leontopodium alpinum), a stylized aircraft propeller and the coat of arms of Romania. The name of the issuing bank and the logo of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) are present, as well as the value of the banknote in numbers and letters. The authorized signatures of the governor and the chief cashier, as well as the date of issue, also appear on this side.
On the back, the banknote features a mountain eagle's head (Aquila chrysaetos), a sketch of the Vlaicu II aircraft and a sketch of a section of an aircraft engine. The value of the banknote is again indicated in numbers and letters, accompanied by the name of the issuing bank. The BNR logo is visible in the upper right and lower left corners.
Legal provisions against counterfeiting are printed on the banknote, reminding that the printing and circulation of counterfeit banknotes are punishable by law. A serial number is printed in black ink, vertically, on the left side, and another serial number is printed in red ink, horizontally, on the right side.
The dimensions of the banknote are 140 mm in length and 77 mm in width. Its weight is one gram.
