Coin Pièce Mexico 20 pesos Bi-metallic 2026 Mo Mexico City

Issued in 2026 to commemorate the FIFA Football World Cup, jointly hosted by Mexico, the United States and Canada, this commemorative 20 Pesos coin represents the Mexico edition in the series.

The reverse features a composition combining football with several symbols of Mexico's natural and cultural heritage. It notably depicts a jaguar, a football, monarch butterflies and various plant elements evoking the richness and diversity of the country.

This national design is distinct from the three other coins dedicated to the Mexican host cities: Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey.

The design also incorporates security features, including a latent image and microtext, characteristic of contemporary Mexican 20 Pesos coins.

The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Mexico, featuring an eagle holding a serpent in its beak and talon, surrounded by the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS".

The coin has a dodecagonal 12-sided shape. It is bimetallic, with a silver-coloured centre and a gold-coloured outer ring.
