The 2013 Euro series from Malta is a set of coins issued by the monetary institute of this country in 2013. This series includes the eight standard euro denominations, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. Each coin in the series was minted with the year 2013.
The set therefore includes the 1 cent, 2 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent, 50 cent, 1 euro and 2 euro coins. The coins feature Malta's specific national designs, while respecting the technical specifications common to all euro coins. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins are made of copper-plated steel. The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins are made of Nordic gold alloy. The 1 and 2 euro coins are bimetallic.
The set is presented in UNC (Uncirculated) condition, which means that the coins have never been put into circulation and are therefore in near-mint condition. They may exhibit the original mint luster.
The mintage of this series is not specified, nor is the minting facility. The weights and diameters of the coins are those standardized for euro coins. The national designs represent elements of Maltese history and culture.
