Banknote Macedonia 10 Denari - Tobacco Harvest - Memorial - 1992

This commemorative banknote, with a value of 10 denari, was issued in 1992 by the National Bank of Macedonia. It is a Laotian banknote with a commemorative overprint in Cyrillic.

On the front of the banknote, the main motif depicts a tobacco harvesting scene. This image illustrates an important agricultural activity for the economy of Laos. The following inscriptions can be read in Cyrillic: "?????? 1992 ??????" (Skopje 1992), probably indicating the place or year of the overprint, as well as "??????????????? ?? ??????? ?????? ???????" (Falsification is punishable by law), a standard legal warning on banknotes. The name of the issuing institution, "??????? ????? ?? ??????????" (National Bank of Macedonia), is also present, as well as the face value "ДЕ??Т 10" (Ten 10).

The back of the banknote features the Ilinden Memorial, also known as Makedonium. This monument is an important symbol of Macedonian history and identity. The dimensions of the banknote are 145 × 77 mm.

This original 50 kips banknote was issued in 1982. The banknote with its commemorative surcharge of 10 denari bears witness to a specific period and a particular event, making it an object of interest for collectors and those interested in the monetary history of Macedonia and Laos.
