Description
This banknote is issued by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dating from 2018, it has a face value of 5,000 rials. Its dimensions are 154 mm long and 75 mm wide.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Ruhollah Khomeini. The inscriptions on this side are in Perso-Arabic script. You can read the name of the central bank, as well as the face value of the banknote, which is "five thousand rials".
On the back, the banknote depicts pottery from Zabol. The inscriptions are in both Latin and Perso-Arabic. You can find the name of the central bank in English ("CENTRAL BANK OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN"), as well as the face value in numbers and letters ("5000", "FIVE THOUSAND RIALS"). An inscription in Perso-Arabic refers to "ceramic vases - eighth century of the Hijra".
The watermark of this banknote also reproduces the portrait of Ruhollah Khomeini.
