Description

This 50,000 rupiah banknote, issued by Indonesia in 2024, belongs to the VEE series. The front of the note features several distinctive elements. It includes a portrait of Ir. H. Djuanda Kartawidjaja, an Indonesian politician. A Jepun flower, also known as frangipani, is also depicted. A map of Indonesia is included, as well as the national emblem and the logo of the issuing bank, serving as a verification device.

The inscriptions on the front are written in the Latin alphabet. They include the face value "50000", the country designation "NEGARA KESATUAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA" (The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia), the titles of the Governor of the Bank of Indonesia and the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, the name of the honored personality "Ir. H. DJUANDA KARTAWIDJAJA", and the face value in words "LIMA PULUH RIBU RUPIAH" (Fifty thousand rupiah).

The reverse of the banknote highlights Komodo National Park, located in the Lesser Sunda Islands. Another representation of the Jepun flower (frangipani) is present. An image of Tari Legong, a dancer performing a dance with a fan, is also included in the design.

The dimensions of this banknote are 146 mm in length and 65 mm in width.
