The 1000 forint banknote issued by Hungary in 2025 is part of the MB series. This commemorative banknote features distinct visual characteristics on both sides.
The obverse of the banknote is dominated by a dark blue print, complemented by a multicoloured underprint with predominantly light blue and yellow hues. The portrait of King Matthias Corvinus is positioned on the right, while the coat of arms of Hungary is visible in the center left. The background incorporates a representation of a city, located to the left of the royal portrait. A hologram is affixed to the left end of the banknote.
The reverse of the banknote repeats the dark blue print and the light blue and yellow multicoloured underprint. The Hercules Fountain, located in Visegrád Castle, is depicted on the left. The background includes two ancient Hungarian coins, yellow in colour, as well as an illustration of a priest reading a book, placed below the nominal value of 1000 forints.
The watermark of the banknote depicts King Matthias Corvinus, accompanied by the nominal value "1000" in electrotype. The dimensions of the banknote are 154 mm in length and 70 mm in width.
