This 50 Pesos banknote, issued by the Central Bank of Guinea-Bissau, dates from March 1, 1990, and belongs to the AB series.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Pansau Na Isna, a prominent figure as a fighter in the colonial war of Portuguese Guinea (1964-1974). The Latin inscriptions include the designation of the issuing institution, "BANCO CENTRAL DA GUINÉ-BISSAU", the date of issue, "1 DE MARÇO DE 1990", the face value "CINQUENTA PESOS", and the name of the honored personality, "PANSAU NA ISNA".
On the back, a village scene is depicted. There are also Latin inscriptions, including the name of the issuing institution, "BANCO CENTRAL DA GUINÉ-BISSAU", and a legal warning, "A LEI PUNE O CONTRAFACTOR", meaning that the law punishes counterfeiting, as well as the face value, "CINQUENTA PESOS".
The banknote incorporates a watermark representing the great arms of Guinea-Bissau, with the repetition of the initials "BCG" (Banco Central da Guiné-Bissau). Its dimensions are 117 mm in length and 60 mm in width.
