The front of the banknote features a portrait of Jean-Baptiste Colbert, positioned on the left side. The inscriptions "DIX FRANCS" and "CAISSE CENTRALE DE LA FRANCE D'OUTRE-MER" are also present. One can also read "P. MUNIER FEC. HOURRIEZ SC.", indicating the names of the artists involved in the creation of the banknote. Pierre Munier is credited as the designer, while Georges Hourriez is identified as the engraver.
On the back, the banknote depicts a boat sailing on a river, completing the iconography of the banknote.
