This coin is a standard circulation issue from Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory. Minted in 2024, it has a face value of one pound (£1), where one Gibraltar pound is equivalent to approximately 1.15 euros.
The coin is bimetallic, with a nickel-plated brass center and a nickel-brass outer ring. It weighs 8.75 grams and its diameter measures 23.4 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin features an uncrowned portrait of King Charles III, facing left. A Latin inscription runs along the edge, including the king's name, his title (CHARLES · III · KING OF GIBRALTAR) and the face value (£1). The date 2024 can also be seen repeated twelve times, along with the number 25. The engraver of this design is Raphael David Maklouf.
The reverse of the coin depicts the Coronation Chair, with a crowned monogram placed at the center. A legend surrounds this central motif.
