While paying homage to Pistrucci's iconic design, this version offers a contemporary interpretation, blending tradition and modern art. This coin was designed by Matthew Bonaccorsi, the former chief engraver of the Royal British Mint, known for his expertise in the field of medal art. In reference to the original design, the coin features 208 beads on the edge, symbolizing the number of years since the introduction of the Sovereign.
